Words From a Traveler...

This different world I'm living in has been a crazy mix of emotions; curiosity, melancholy, frustration, sadness, love, anger, gratitude, but more than anything I've been feeling a feeling that I don't quite know how to feel which I suppose means i'm learning something new about myself and the world. The interesting thing about experiencing and seeing new things I have found is that during the process you end up mostly seeing yourself...in all the stories and lives we see and become a part of, we in turn become a part of theirs and for some reason I think that process changes us a little too. But what do I know really :)

Teaching is also a wonderfully horrible thing! I figured I had my fill of teaching experiences in America and this would't be much of a change...but 40 hours a semester of teaching is nothing compared to 25 hours a WEEK! Everyday when I am locking up and leaving the school I think to myself, I can't believe I do this almost EVERYDAY! Though most of the time It is exhausting, every once and a while I get enough time to breath and enjoy those kids :)

Yesterday one of my students gave me this :) She is SO sweet!

I was gone for the WHOLE day and when I can home this was written on my door from my sweet roommate :) "Dora loves and misses Lilly"

When ever I start to miss home I just have to think of these kids! I figure I will miss all of these wonderful people soon enough so it's no use missing people I will see soon anyway, while I can enjoy the people that I will soon miss forever :)

We made props and had a little photo booth...

I can't even tell you how much I LOVE this little girl, happiness just beams from her face...always :)

"Teacher I solute you, cause my mustache..."

Haha, oh he is a character...

спокойной ночи
(spokoynoy nochi)

Russian classes are going great by the way, I'm practically fluent ;)

  1. NIKITA!!! Wait he actually said that? I'm freaking out. Does he talk a lot? It was so hard getting Nikita to speak but that little boy was one of my favorites for sure.
